Review – Week 2 August 17, 2007

Week 2 Review:
The good-
· Waking up early in the morning and getting things done early in the morning. I get lots done in the morning and it reduces a lot of stress and motivates me to go more done during the day and approach the day with a positive attitude.
· Disciplining myself has been a really good practiced, I am learning that it really helps me do things with consistency.
· Reading the Quran in the morning and before going to sleep really helps kick start the day and end the day. This way you are waking up with the name of Allah Tallah and going to sleep with same. The one two or three verses that you read and ponder over help remember Allah Tallah.
· Making list of things to do really helps, I can’t stress this enough.
The Things that need Improvement:
· Need to make the schedule and set goals consistently, I seem to be slacking on this, this past week.
· Need to make sure I wake up at the set time 6:00Am, inshallah
· Need to read more and inshallah, finish the reading that I missed last week inshallah.
· Make beter use of travel time.
· Once I have my goals written down, make sure to put them into my calendar and then check my calendar for things to do.

Assalam-o-Alekum Warhmatullahi wabarakatuhu
The good things:
- If i did not write all this down every single day, there is no way I would have realized all these errors, bad habits, and accomplishments.
- Doing this review brings back the motivation and pushes me a bit since I can see my slacking in last weeks posts, and the accomplishment
- Have prayed all my paryers everyday without missing on any, This is simply amazing. I do not know how or why but I just don’t get lazy when its time for prayer. I know there is no negotiation there is no later I have to do it and have to do it now. If I do not do it than I will probably have to do it with the next prayer so it is better to do it now. Alhamdulillah getting better.
- Reading the Quran in the morning, just even 3 verses makes a huge difference to you day. I had done it every day and its simply amazing and the next day I am excited to read the next 3.
- This has led to do a lots of research and come aware of a lot of things that I never did.
- Eating healthy helps a lot and the water drinking also helps a lot. NO POP policy is also working out really well.
Things not so good, Things that are in need of improvement.
- Plan out the next semester and do not let the work accumulate.
- Make the schedule everyday and, Stick to the schedule.
- make sure to have short term goals or break long term goals into short term so you can feel the sense of accomplishment if you have done them and if you have not done them since they are small goal you will most likely be able to make up for them.
- The key to this whole thing is just doing it. Committing to what you have plan yourself to make it come true. If you keep sleeping and do not do anything about it, you will keep dreaming and that dream will not come true not because its too hard or too unrealistic but because you never worked towards it; rather you make other things more important to yourself. This is who you are. OUCH THAT HURTS

Taking small steps is ok, as long as you are taking steps. Inshallah Tallah Allah Tallah will make it better for you.
